Irish crochet lace, late 19th century. The design of this example is closely based on Flemish needle lace of the 17th century. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Yesterday I gave me neighbours little girl aged 8 mnths one of the Hooky-Bear beanies I had crocheted, and very sweet she looked in it too.
So last night I started on a new item, A hoodie for her to wear during the winter months, I am doing it in a dusky pink which has a small red fleck in it,  it really does crochet up well and looks lovely with a red trim....My camera is on the blink at the moment but I will get pics up as soon as possible...........
I've never attempted anything as complicated looking as Irish Lace....and l have to face it, the old eyes aint what they used to be.
